Speed & Precision – Collaboration Overview
We joined Everviz at a moment when the company needed additional development capacity but preferred to scale its own team gradually. The collaboration was based mainly on asynchronous work, a minimal number of meetings, and a high level of developer autonomy, exactly as Everviz prefers. The team included Maciej Kucaba, initially as a developer and later as a Tech Lead responsible for the technological direction of the project and key refactorings; Dominika Wielopolska-Fonfara as a Scrum Master improving workflow, communication, and processes; and Kamil Kubik, who joined later as a frontend developer supporting feature development, the interface, and the chart editor.
Tech Challenges & Solutions
The platform had evolved relatively quickly, and some of the initial development stages had left several areas that required restructuring. Some key components relied on older coding patterns, which slowed further development and occasionally affected stability. The interface, built over many iterations across the years, needed visual and technical consistency, and onboarding new team members could be simpler with unified guidelines and documentation. Since the company relied heavily on asynchronous work, it was also valuable to streamline task planning and prioritization. Our response included modernizing the frontend to improve stability and reduce errors, standardizing UI components to enhance appearance and performance, and organizing development processes through clear coding conventions, automated quality checks, regular code reviews, and structured workflows in GitHub Projects.
